What makes KW Legacy Ranch so successful as a troubled youth ranch? Because we are a working cattle ranch that incorporates the responsibilities of caring for and feeding the animals, and our students follow a structured schedule for their daily activities. We firmly believe in the tremendous value and benefits that teens derive from being outside, being physically active, learning new skills, being engaged in meaningful activities, and seeing their accomplishments at the end of the day.
Most troubled youth schools focus on therapy for troubled youths indoors the majority of the time. At KW Legacy Ranch, the responsibility each troubled youth has in tending to the cattle, horses, and other farm animals and in taking an active part in the ranch has them spending most of their curriculum outdoors. Though there is plenty of time for schoolwork, rest, and personal therapy with our highly trained staff, the fresh air and the hard work provides a tremendous benefit to the students at our troubled youth ranch.
